Located on iconic South Street, the Mutter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia is a unique standout attraction in a city filled with historical museum options. Even if you are unable to physically travel to 19 South 22nd street, the museum has you covered with award-winning virtual events. In June, several limited attendees focus session groups were held for the “PostMortem Project”. The hour-and-a-half sessions intended to steer the direction of the historical landmark regarding “the broader context of respects, ethics, human remains, future topics, the museum, and its future.”

Both a Philadelphia and national treasure, the Marian Anderson Museum is one of the best to explore virtually. Due to flooding damage, all exhibitions are online but that doesn’t keep them from attracting visitors. The Philadelphia Orchestra has partnered with the Museum to host special events, such as Marian The Music & The Renaissance A 1920’s Revue as well as concerts to celebrate the 4th of July. In addition, the Marian Anderson Scholar Artist Program is a major fixture that supports young artists, classical and opera singers, instrumentalists, visual artists and more from the ages 18 -45.

While it would be impossible to have Ariel and Belle show up at your daughter’s birthday party, the next best thing would be to have a professional performer dress up to look exactly like your daughter’s favorite film characters and perform at the party. That is precisely what Aisha had in mind when she created A Dash of Magic, which provides themed parties and other events that bring fairy tales to life for children. Initially created as a non-profit organization whose volunteers visited local hospitals and charities for children in need, Aisha started providing themed parties after receiving requests from parents.
