After holding virtual events during the pandemic, the Lancaster Avenue Jazz and Arts Festival returned this summer better than ever. Headlined by Orrin Evans Quartet, and featuring Glenn Bryan & Friends, Hailey Brinnel, MJS Trio (West Philadelphia High School Trio), Nazir Ebo’s Youth Ensemble, Alan Nelson, Dylan Band, and Kendrah Butler-Waters, the free day-long concert in West Philadelphia saw 80 acts perform for the crowd. While the music takes center stage, the family-friendly event was a great day to celebrate Philadelphia’s rich tradition in art and music. A perfect way to enjoy a hot summer day while enjoying many of the good things Philadelphia has to offer.
