Lighthouse Thrift are two thrift shops that are owned and operated by The Whosoever Gospel Mission, a Christian nonprofit organization whose purpose is to provide shelter, food, clothing, education, counseling, rehabilitation and other assistance to homeless and/or needy men, women and children in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area. The Germantown Thrift Shop in Germantown and the Lighthouse Thrift Shop located in Lawndale are both very important to the ministry. The shops help raise much needed funds for the ministry. The thrift shops also provide workforce development training for homeless men enrolled in the New Life Rehabilitation and Job Readiness Program. The stores give away free produce and bread when possible. In addition, all of the merchandise is affordably priced.
