La Salle University competes as an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference and the Big 5. The Explorers field 19 men’s and women’s varsity sports with four additional sports to be added in the 2025-26 season: women’s acrobatics & tumbling, rugby, and triathlon will make their debut and men’s baseball will make its return. La Salle opened the newly renovated John E. Glaser arena located at Olney Ave. and Tom Gola Way in November 2024, home to Explorer basketball.
